Shipping and Returns Policy


Select Fine Art Materials offers shipping to Canada, continental United States, United States Virgin Islands and the United States Minor Outlying Islands.

Shipping Rates:


All shipping rates are calculated in real-time through a live rating integration with Canada Post. During the checkout process, you will have the opportunity to select which shipping method, and expected delivery date, best suits your needs. Live rates are calculated based on the size and weight of your total order as well as your shipping address.


An estimated shipping rate will be calculated initially during the checkout process based on your shipping address, the size and weight of your total order. The final shipping rate will depend on the selected shipping method chosen at time of purchase.


Tracking and Delivery Confirmation:

Tracking and delivery confirmation is available on Regular Parcel, Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost and Priority shipping. Canada Post provides an on-time delivery guarantee for all shipping methods except Regular Parcel.


Liability Coverage:

Liability coverage, up to $100, is included with Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost and Priority shipping rates.


Maximum Shipping Weight:

Canada Post has set a maximum shipping weight of 30 kg (66 lbs) for parcels. Should your order exceed the maximum shipping weight, we will work with you to determine the most appropriate shipping method. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges incurred.


Order Status:

Orders will be processed typically within 2 business days after you have placed your order and payment has been confirmed. You will be notified if there is a delay.

The date you can expect to receive your order is determined by the shipping method chosen at time of purchase. You will receive confirmation of the expected delivery date from Canada Post.

Select Fine Art Materials holds no responsibility for establishing shipping rates or for any delivery issues which may occur once an order has left the store.


Pick-Up In Store:

If you live locally, you may elect to pick up your online order at our retail location at 2208 St. Joseph Blvd., Unit 109 in Orleans. Your order will typically be processed for pick-up by 2 p.m. the following business day. You will be notified if there is a delay.

A reminder that the store is closed on Sundays.


Online Return Policy:

All sales are final.We ask that you verify your order immediately upon receipt to ensure you have received the correct product(s).

If Select Fine Art Materials has made an error in fulfilling your order, or the product is found to be defective (not related to shipping), please contact us and we will ensure you receive replacement product(s).

Select Fine Art Materials reserves the right to make changes, without prior notice, to our Online Return Policy at any time.


Retail Return Policy:

For purchases made in our retail location, please keep your receipt in case you are not happy with your purchase. Refunds for products not considered final sale (see list below), will be given within 15 days of purchase when the receipt is provided. Items for return must be unused and in their clean, original packaging.

The following is a list of items which are considered FINAL SALE (no refunds):

  • Clearance or discounted products
  • Special orders
  • Custom orders
  • Paper
  • All drawing materials (pens, pencils, charcoal, inks, etc.)
  • Cut items such as canvas and paper
  • Spray varnishes, spray paints and spray glue
  • Books
