Ground Preparations for Drawing by Wallace Seymour fine art products include the following:
Murano Glass ground Used as a ground coating, applied to canvas, board, paper etc. This slightly granular preparation adds a little texture into the painting ground but also increases luminosity of acrylic colour.((especially transparent colours) when over painted with thin glazes of acrylic.
Pumice Primer Creates a toothy textured drawing surface that really captures the pigments of pastels and other dry media such as charcoal and the Ancient Drawing Materials. Mix with water to achieve a spreadable consistency and brush onto your paper to prime the surface which will become grainy. Contains natural pumice grounds in an acrylic medium.
Marble Dust Ground for Drawing Mildly abrasive ground, for metalpoint, dry drawing media and liquid inks. Dilute with water as required. Apply to paper/board surfaces.
Bone Ash Ground Soft, fibrous support, for all drawing materials, liquid inks, PS Liquid Graphite. Dilutes with water. Apply to paper (200gsm +), acrylic primed boards, canvas, etc. Can be used as primer on paper for over painting with oil colour.
